The authorities of the Office of Agriculture and Livestock Science and Technology (DICTA) announced this Wednesday that Honduras will be the site of the 4th conference of the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO)
The RSPO conference has previously been held in Colombia, Brazil and Ecuador and this year it will be in Honduras.

This event has the goal of providing information about the production of oil in a way that is responsible toward nature, the environment and society and it will take place from August 6th to 8th of this year in the convention center of the Club Hondureño Árabe, in San Pedro Sula, department of Cortés.
The program is organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (SAG), through the African Palm Section of the National Food and Agriculture Industry (PRONAGRO), and the Office of Agriculture and Livestock Science and Technology (DICTA).
It is also [organized by] the Honduran Palm Oil Industry, With support from the National Foundation for Rural Development (FUNDER), WWF, SNV, and Solidaridad Network.
The Fourth Conference of RSPO is directed toward researchers, technical specialists, investors, businessmen and oil-producers in the palm sector. Participants from the Latin American region who exert influence in the palm process from seed to the sale of the processed product will be in attendance.

Las autoridades la Dirección de Ciencia y Tecnología Agropecuaria (DICTA), informaron hoy miércoles, que Honduras será sede de la IV conferencia de la Mesa Redonda del Aceite de Palma Sostenible (RSPO).
El RSPO, se ha realizado en Colombia, Brasil y Ecuador y este año corresponde a Honduras.
Indicaron que el RSPO, se ha realizado en Colombia, Brasil y Ecuador y este año corresponde a Honduras ser la sede de la cuarta conferencia del Aceite de Palma Sostenible.
Este evento tiene como propósito dar a conocer sobre la producción de aceite de forma responsable con la naturaleza, el ambiente y el entorno social y se desarrollará del 6 al 8 de agosto del presente año, en el centro de convenciones Club Hondureño Árabe, en San Pedro Sula, departamento de Cortés.
El programa es organizado por la Secretaría de Agricultura y Ganadería (SAG), a través de la Cadena de Palma Africana del Programa Nacional Agroalimentario (PRONAGRO), y la Dirección de Ciencia y Tecnología Agropecuaria (DICTA).
Además, por el sector palmero hondureño, y con el apoyo de la Fundación Nacional para el Desarrollo Rural (FUNDER), WWF, SNV y Solidaridad Network.
La IV Conferencia del RSPO está dirigida a investigadores, técnicos, inversionistas, empresarios y a productores del sector palmero, se contará con la participación de conferencistas de la región latinoamericana que influye en el proceso de palma desde su siembra hasta la venta del producto procesado.
