Syrian children killed in Houla massacre
Syrian children killed in Houla massacre
Global civic organization Avaaz is playing the pity card again. A false pity card again also. Last year the e-activist organisation convinced over 800,000 people to sign up for a no-fly zone in Libya culminating in the NATO destruction of the country; nowadays Avaaz uses the recent Houla massacre to let people demand the United Nations (U.N.) to “immediately commit to sending at least 3,000 international monitors to Syria with a mandate to protect civilians and to move fast to define a political transition plan” through a petition.

A photo of young children, allegedly killed during the Houla massacre in which more than 100 civilians were slaughtered over one weekend in May, introduces the call for foreign intervention in the country. “This image taken in Al Houla, Syria on Friday may be too brutal for us to look at. I have a 5 year old daughter and I know it’s only luck of birth that separates her from this horror. But my shock led me to write this today as I know there is something we can all do together to stop this”, writes Avaaz’s Alice Jay.

“In this image, dozens of children lie covered with blood, their faces show the fear they felt before death, and their innocent lifeless bodies reveal an unspeakable massacre. These children were slaughtered by men under strict orders to sow terror”, she claims, blaming the massacre on the Syrian government. “The U.N. is discussing what to do right now. If there was a large international presence in every region of Syria with a mandate to protect civilians — we could prevent the massacres while the political solution is worked out. I cannot look at another of these images without shouting from the rooftops.”

Jay brings up the same argument that was used to condone the Western war on Libya in 2011, which resulted in the wounding and killing of numerous Libyan civilians when NATO bombed the country back to stone age, by concluding: “We have a responsibility to protect the Syrian people and the world can no longer look away.”

Launched in 2007, Avaaz (which means ‘voice’ or ‘sound’ in Persian) was co-founded by MoveOn.org, an American public policy advocacy group funded by George Soros.

Media lies on Houla massacre exposed

Not only Russian ANNA News journalist and eyewitness of the Houla massacre Marat Musin exposed the mainstream media lies on the horrible event in, last week also a prominent German newspaper, Frankfurter Allgemeine Politik, mentions the Western-backed Syrian Al Qaeda rebels are the ones behind the killings of the more than hundred people. German author Rainer Hermann, who currently lives in Abu Dhabi, UAE, reveals:

“Syrian opposition members who are from that region were during the last days able to reconstruct the most likely sequence of events based on accounts from authentic witnesses. Their result contradicts the pretences from the rebels who had accused regime allied Shabiha they alleged were acting under the protection of the Syrian army. As opposition members who reject the use of lethal force were recently killed or at least threatened, the opposition members [talking to me] asked that their names be withheld.

The massacre of Houla happened after Friday prayers. The fighting started when Sunni rebels attacked three Syrian army checkpoints around Houla. These checkpoints were set up to protect the Alawi villages around the predominantly Sunni Houla from assaults.

One attacked checkpoint called up units from the Syrian army, which has barracks some 1500 meters away, for help and was immediately reinforced. Dozens of soldiers and rebels were killed during the fighting around Houla which is said to have lasted about 90 minutes. During these fights the three villages were closed off from the outside world.

According to the witness accounts the massacre happened during this timeframe. Killed were nearly exclusively families from the Alawi and Shia minorities in Houla which has a more than 90% Sunni population. Several dozen members of one extended family, which had in recent years converted from Sunni to Shia believe, were slaughtered. Also killed were members of the Alawi family Shomaliya and the family of a Sunni member of parliament who was [by the rebels] considered a government collaborator. Members of the Syrian government confirmed this version but pointed out that the government committed to not publicly speak of Sunnis and Alawis. President al-Assad is Alawi while the opposition is overwhelmingly from the Sunni population majority.” (English translation source)

Syrian president Assad said in a speech on June 4 about the Houla massacre: “What happened in al-Houla [..] and what we described as brutal, heinous and ugly massacres, is in real fact very difficult to describe. Even beasts do not do such things”, but was accused by President Obama’s spokesperson of “lying” when he denied his government had any involvement in the massacre.
